Abstract

The present invention relates to device for constructing mines, in which the mining member is mounted on a jib. This device is provided with a means which is also mounted on the jib and makes it possible to supply the facing elements to a required place of the face and to mount them thereat.

DEVICE FOR CONSTRUC'I'ING MINES The present invention relates to devices for constructing mines, and, more particularly, to selective-operating devices in which the mining member is disposed on a movable jib which provides for its displacement to any point of a face being worked.
These machines have found wide use in the practice of constructing mines in tunnels, subway and mine construction, since, as compared to other mining machines, they are more universal both, from the viewpoint of the width of the range of physical and mechanical properties of the soil being worked, and from the viewpoint of possibility of constructing mines of an arbitrary shape and sizes of the cross section.
As a disadvantage of these machines it accomodates necessary to point (FIG. 2) the fact that they require an additional mechanism used for erecting the facing.
This substantially eneumbers the working zone of the mine, hampers the supply of materials and elements of the facing into the face, and in certain cases makes impossible the use of these machines at all.
It is an object of the present invention to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantage of the afore-described devices.
The present invention has as its task the provision of such a device that would erect the facing of the tunnel along side with working a face.
This task is accomplished by that in a device for constructing mines, in which the mining member is disposed on a jib, according to the present invention, said jib mounts a clip with a gripper for the facing elements, which is capable of turning round the jib and displacing longitudinally along the latter.
This makes it possible by using one and the same device to carry out subsequent operations in working a face and erecting a facing.
In order to avoid employment of any additional independent means of arrangements which make it possible for the fitter to stay in the working zone, the frame of the device has cradles secured thereon on turnable uprights.
The following detailed description of an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is given with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 shows a side general view of a device for constructing mines, built according to the present invention, in the course of working an inclined tunnel;
FIG. 2 is ditto, an enlarged front view (the jib is shown in its section);
FIG. 3 shows an enlarged view of section III-III of FIG. I
The device comprises a frame I (FIGS. I and 2) moved by means of a walking mechanism (not shown in the drawing) along the ribs of tubings of the facing, a carriage 2 moved along longitudinal guides 3 by means of a hydraulic cylinder 4; the carriage 2 mounting a turntable 5 with a column 6. The frame I of the device, as shown in FIG. 2, mounts Z-shaped guides 3 on which the slides (skies) 27 move. These slides are secured to the carriage 2 with the aid of the brackets 28. The carriage 2 is moved on the guides 3 by means of the hydraulic cylinder 4 (shown in FIG. I) which is secured to the frame and whose rod 29 is fastened to the rear portion of the carriage 2 (not shown in FIG. I). With the rod of the hydraulic cylinder being pulled out, the carriage moves together with the slides 27 on the guides 3. The reverse stroke of the carriage 2 is effected by pushing the rod of the hydraulic cylinder 4 back into the body of the latter. Hinge-secured on the column 6 is a jib 7 with a counterweight 8, said jib 7 carrying a working member 9 for mining a face, and mounting a turnable clip I (FIG. 2) with a gripper II for the facing elements. The plate of the turntable rests on the carriage 2 through textolite packings not shown in the drawing), which are secured along the perimeter of the turntable 5 in an annular recess made in the body of the carriage 2. The turntable may be connected to the carriage 2 by means of the central bolt 30 with the nut 31. In order to decrease friction, the head of the bolt 30 rests on the carriage 2 through the thrust bearing 32.
The clip I0 consists of an inner ring I2 (FIG. 3) stationary secured on the jib 7, and an outer ring 13 rolling over the inner ring I2 by rollers 14. The clip 10 is mounted on the jib 7 in guides 15, and is capable of displacing along the jib 7 by means of hydraulic cylinders (not shown in the drawing), the ring I2 being turned by an electric drive (not shown in the drawing). In this particular embodiment FIG. I shows the gripper II designed for securing tubings to the clip 10 of the tubing-carriage, with the tubings having flange fins with holes accomodating bolt joints. Such a tubing is gripped pulling the cylindrical fingers 33 out of the tubular bushing 34. The fingers 33 enter the bolt holes of the flange tins of the tubing. The gripper II is secured to the clip I0 with the aid of the bracket The jib 7 is made hollow and accomodates a conveyor I6 (FIG. 2) for taking away worked soil.
Mounted on the frame I are turnable telescopic uprights I7 (FIGS. I and 2) with cradles I8 hinge-secured to the upper end portion thereof, said cradles 18 being used for displacing fitters into the working zone. Uprights 17, as shown in FIGS. I and 2, are pivotly secured to the turntable columns 36 and may be inclined, for example, with the aid of the mechanical drive 37. The cradle I8 is pivotly mounted in the fork 38 mounted on the telescopic arm 39 of the upright I7. Thus, by pulling out the arm 39 and turning the column 36 and inclining the upright 17in the vertical plane, it is possible to feed the cradle 39 to any point of the face.
The operation of the device consisting of two stages: working a face and erecting a facing.
With the working member displaced together with the jib in the vertical and horizontal planes, and in the longitudinal direction by means of a system of hydraulic cylinders 4, 22, 23, the surface of the face acquires a required shape and sizes.
In case it encounters obstacles in the form of layers of hard soil and boulders the jib passes them by.
The soil worked in the face is gripped by the blades of the working member 9, and through a charging hole is delivered inside the hollow jib 7 onto a band-anddrag conveyor 16 from which it is loaded onto another outer conveyor I9 and further into a hopper 20 secured in the rear portion of the frame I.
The hopper is designed to store the soil while a skip 21 is being replaced, and, consequently, to provide for continuous working of a face, carried out by the device.
With the process of working the face over the length of one working run equalling approximately Im completed, the clip I0 with the gripper II of the facing elements 24 is moved along the jib 7 in its extreme front position, whereupon the process of erecting the facing is started.
The facing elements 24 (tubings) are supplied into the face on a special carriage (tubing-carriage) along a railway 25 through an aperture 26 provided in the frame I of the device. The tumable clip I0 is turned so that the gripper II faces downward, the jib 7 is lowered, a tubing is taken by the gripper II, and is delivered by the jib 7 to a place where it is to be mounted.
Thereupon, the fitters who are in the cradles I8 bring the tubing into a required position, secure it by bolts to the facing elements that have been mounted before, and disconnect the gripper II. As they are secured on the extension turnable uprights 17, the cradles I8 may be brought to any required place of the face. The control over the displacement of the cradles I8 may be carried out both, from the central control board, and by the fitters by means of extension control boards. In the course of the face working the cradles 18 are used for supplying cement-andsand mortar behind the facing and for timbering the face.
With the circle of the facing closed, the whole device is moved forward by means of the walking mechanism. The clip with the gripper is brought to its extreme rear position, and the cycle of operation is repeated in the afore-described manner.
What we claim is:
I. A device for constructing mines, comprising a frame, a jib mounted on said frame, a working member mounted on the end portion of said jib remote from said frame, said working member including means for mining a face in the mine, a ferrule means mounted on said jib, gripper means on said ferrule means for conveying a mine facing element and positioning the latter against the faced surface of the mine, and means for pivoting and longitudinally displacing said ferrule means rela-

Claims (2)

1. A device for constructing mines, comprising a frame, a jib mounted on said frame, a working member mounted on the end portion of said jib remote from said frame, said working member including means for mining a face in the mine, a ferrule means mounted on said jib, gripper means on said ferrule means for conveying a mine facing element and positioning the latter against the faced surface of the mine, and means for pivoting and longitudinally displacing said ferrule means relative to said jib.
2. A device as claimed in claim 1, including turntable uprights supported on said frame, and cradle means being connected to the upper ends of said uprights so as to movable relative to the faced surfaces of the mine.
