1,039,886. Electrically released switches. COMPAGNIE DE CONSTRUCTION ELECTRIQUE. June 14, 1963 [June 18, 1962], No. 23778/63. Addition to 1,009,988. Heading H2B. A flat torsion spring 8 having one end 8b fixed in a bearing 13 has its other end 8a arranged to coact with a release lock mechanism (Fig. 3, not shown), and to displace an insulating sheath 11 carrying the moving contact or contacts of a circuit-breaker. Sheath 11 rotates in bearings 13, 14 and carries a cam 27 which is driven by an intermediary part 16 to torsion spring 8 until a blocking hook 35 enters an opening 37 of part 16 (Fig. 3, not shown), the contacts then being closed and the torsion spring being suitably twisted, while a tooth 27c on cam 27 is held by a hook on an unlocking lever 29 pivoted at 31 on part 16. Spring 8 is replaceable by a plurality of superimposed flat springs separated by a thin layer or layers of synthetic plastics material.
