Abstract

1,036,623. Watches. MONTRES OCTO S.A. April 9, 1963 [April 9, 1962], No.14203/63. Heading G3T. In order that the wearer can see at a glance whether the watch with centre seconds hand 15 is running or not, the watch has an additional indicating member 29, 30, 31 driven anticlockwise coaxially with the seconds hand and at the same speed. The member carries a decoration e.g. a rocket 31 and decorations on the dial comprise a sun 32, globe 34, crescent moon 33 and stars 35, 36. In a calendar watch, the centre 37 of the sun is removed to provide a window showing the day indications. The arm 29 of the member extends behind the dial which is clear of the inside periphery of the bezel and is mounted only at its centre, on a bush 26 Fig 3 (not shown). A wheel 11 of the train drives both the seconds hand through cannon pinion 6, 6a and the member, through pinion and wheel 16,17 of which wheel 17 engages a wheel 18 concentric with the bands and carrying the arm 29.
