Abstract

103,397. Green, G. K. April 19, 1916. Pulleys; toothed wheels and chain wheels.- Relates to toothed wheels, belt pulleys, sprocket-wheels, &c., of the kind in which radial and circumferential movement of a floating rim is resisted by circumferential helical springs. A central disk 9 formed with rectangular apertures 12 near the periphery is arranged to slide inside a rim formed of two spaced plates 1, 3 each having gaps 10 in the edge. The ends of the apertures and gaps register and are fitted with sliding plates 13, 14 between which compression helical springs 11 are arranged. The inner and outer walls of the apertures 12 engage notches in the plates 13, 14.
