Abstract
1,032,002. Ionization chambers. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. March 31, 1964 [March 29, 1963], No. 13319/64. Heading H1D. An ionization chamber intended to have a response equivalent to that of organic tissue includes a filling of methane, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and neon, and chamber walls composed of a mixture of polyethylene, polyformaldehyde, and a carbon, oxygen, or hydrogen, compound of magnesium. The walls 2, electrode 6, and guard ring 14 are all composed of the plastics mixture, and are coated with a thin film of graphite or aluminium, insulators 8, 10 and 12 being of PTFE.
