Abstract
973,517. Batteries. COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DES PILES ELECTRIQUES, CIPEL. July 5, 1962 [July 6, 1961], No. 25851/62. Heading H1B. A dry cell 1 has a coating 2 of synthetic plastics material 2 the latter being provided with an electrically conductive porous material 6 (a frit impregnated with polyethylene) which is porous to gases but impermeable to liquids. The porous material must have a pore size of 30 to 200 microns. The projecting casing 2 is fixed under the frit. Instead of a frit a porous layer of metal (copper or bronze) may be used.
