1,031,802. Drying apparatus. CONSOLIDATED PAPER (BAHAMAS) Ltd. Feb. 26, 1963 [Feb. 26, 1962], No. 7650/63. Heading F4G. [Also in Division F2] In a paper making machine, each dryer roll 7 is rotated at a slightly lower speed than the preceding one, to allow a paper web 8 to shrink in a controlled manner as it dries, by means of a drive system (see Division F2), comprising an endless driving belt 14 running on pulleys 15 of equal diameter. Endless webs 9 of felt press the paper web 8 against the surfaces of the drying rolls.
