Abstract

1,030,788. Masted lift trucks. A. T. VAN HUET. Dec. 5, 1963 [Dec. 6, 1962], No. 48132/63. Heading B8H. The fork 21 of a fork lift truck is connected to the lifting carriage 1 by a device comprising a frame 8 which supports the fork and which is connected by X-links 9, 10 and double-acting hydraulic rams 11, 12 to a frame 7 slidably mounted on a frame 4 secured to the lifting carriage 1. The fork is suspended at 22 from the frame 8 by means of springs (not shown) and is guided for vertical movement on the frame 8 by rollers 31, 23, 24. The links 9, 10 are pivoted at their upper ends to the frames 8, 7 respectively and are guided at their lower ends by rollers 13 engaging tracks on the frames. The frame 7 is slidably supported on a cross-member 26 of the frame 4 and is movable transversely thereof by a double-acting hydraulic ram 5. If transverse movement of the fork is not required, the frame 7 may be secured directly to the lifting carriage 1.
