Abstract

103,071. Davis, R. H. June 24, 1916. Clocks combined with 'engaged' and like indic a t o r s and pressure gauges.-An indicating- apparatus for use in determining the rate of decompression by divers has scales d, c, Fig, 1, of depth and pressure, and manually-set pointers d<1>, c<1>, preferably in easily distinguished colours, for indicating respectively the maximum depth at which the diver has been workmg and the depth tn which he has risen, the time required to remain in this position being obtained by tables and conveniently being observed upon a clock a forming part of the apparatus. In a modification the apparatus measures the pressure, a pressure gauge i bearing the scales d, c, and the maximum depth being indicated by a sentinel pointer k. Dummy clock-hands h<1> may be provided for setting the time until which the diver should remain at the given depth, and a second depth scale m with pointer h<2> may be provided around the dial.
