Abstract

1,029,910. Lubricating. RECHERCHES ETUDES PRODUCTION R.E.P. Nov. 26, 1964 [Nov. 29, 1963], No. 48144/64. Heading F2A. [Also in Division F1] Hydraulic pumps or motors of the swashplate type are lubricated by working or controlling medium which has leaked or has been tapped therefrom, the working or controlling medium being pumped to the lubrication points by at least one auxiliary pump 21 which is housed in a bearing-carrier shaft 7, Fig. 1 (not shown), and is driven by the driving shaft 2 of the pump or motor. The auxiliary pump 21 may be helicoidal, with or without centrifugal means 27, Fig. 2 (not shown) or may be a gear-pump. In an embodiment, the pump 21, Fig. 1 (not shown), is driven by the driving shaft 2, via teeth 3 on a barrel 4, the latter comprising cylinders 5 having pistons 6 therein. The cylinders 5 are connected by conduits 11 to an admission orifice 12 in a casing 1 and by the same conduits 11 to a delivery orifice 14. The pistons each have a ball-and-socket 8 engaged in a ring 9 carried by the swash-plate 10. A conduit 19 connects the admission orifice 12 to a conduit 20 which houses the pump 21 therein and which connects to conduits 23, 24 and 25, via an orifice 22, so that rotation of the pump 21 supplies lubricant to the various points requiring lubrication.
