Abstract

[Also in Division I] In a rotating cylinder swash plate type motor or pump, the radially inner edges of cylinder ports 16 which co-operate with inlet and outlet ports 14, 15 are displaced radially outwardly in relation to the inner edges of the cylinder bores to allow increased space for attachment of the drive shaft 18 which may be connected to the block 3 as shown, or through a universal joint. The block 3 is supported by a bearing 4 in the housing. The ports 16 may be round or elongated and their centre lines may be inclined radially outwardly.
