An outlet nozzle 5, Fig. 3, for granular &c. material from a fluidized container, comprises a tapered tube 7 of larger diameter than the outlet 20 and supplied with pressurized air through a branch pipe 1 leading from the air space at the upper portion of the container. An orifice valve plate 11 has openings of different size for controlling the flow.
