1,029,338. Outboard propulsion apparatus. YANMAR DIESEL ENGINE CO. Ltd. Dec. 3, 1964 [Dec. 6, 1963], No. 49239/64. Heading B7V. [Also in Division F1] An outboard propulsion apparatus has the engine lubricating oil sump and the oil cooler arranged side-by-side in an intermediate body portion of the apparatus so that the water jacket section 5 of said lubricating oil cooler is disposed adajcent said oil sump 1, a partition 29 (provided with fins 19) separating the sump 1 from the oil cooler, and means (inlet 25, pump 11 on driving shaft 27, outlets 21, 23) for circulating cooling water through the water jacket section 5 of the oil cooler so that the cooling water flowing through said section can simultaneously cool the oil in the cooler core 3 of the oil cooler and the oil in the sump 1.
