1,028,677. Reversing gearing; screw-and-nut gearing. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Oct. 5, 1964 [Oct. 11, 1963],ÀNo. 40232/63. Headings F2D and F2Q. A guide 30, for winding wire on to a bobbin, is reciprocated on parallel bars 24, 25 by a lead screw 10 driven in each direction from an input shaft 1 through meshing input and layshaft spur gears 2, 3 and corresponding electromagnetic clutches 4 and 5 having common output pinions 6 and 7 meshing a lead-screw gear 8 and selectively engaged or disengaged for reverse rotations of the leadscrew by a switch 14 actuated by an axially slidable rod 16 having adjustable stops 19 and 20 engaging the guide 30 at the limits of its travel. The stops 19 and 20 have screwed ends 22 and 23 and pegs 21 engaging holes in the rod 16 for fine and coarse adjustment respectively.
