1,027,821. Automatic temperature control systems. GRAVINER MANUFACTURING CO Ltd and WILKINSON SWORD Ltd. Aug. 3, 1962 [May 10, 1961], No. 16939/61. Heading G3R. [Also in Division F1] An automatic temperature control system for a gas turbine comprises a first elongated temperature sensitive device 10 exposed to the exhaust gases and a second temperature sensitive device 11 exposed to air entering the turbine both connected to a bridge circuit R4-R9 which is balanced when the temperature difference is greater than a determined amount causing a transistor VT3 to conduct and VT4 to block, thus de-energizing a relay RLA/1 to operate an alarm or control the fuel supply. During starting a centrifugally operated switch 14 shunts a resistor R15 across R4 to maintain the bridge unbalanced. A test circuit controlled by a manual switch 15 and a relay RLB/1 de-energizes the relay RLA/1. A milliammeter scaled in terms of exhaust temperature may be connected across R7.
