Abstract

1,027,777. Winding stators. DANFOSS A/S Feb. 5, 1963 [Feb. 7, 1962], No. 4695/63. Heading B3A. In a method of winding a stator the conductors are placed in grooves in the periphery of an auxiliary member which is disposed within the stator, the conductors then being transferred by centrifugal force to the stator grooves. The stator 1 is formed with grooves 2 and 3 and the auxiliary member 4 has corresponding slots 5 and 6 and is mounted on a shaft 7. Windings are placed in the slots 5 and 6 by conventional means, the auxiliary member is positioned in the stator and locked by means 10 and the assembly rotated at 6000 to 10,000 r.p.m. Intermediate layers, insulating materials and groove seals may be transferred in the same operation. Shaped abutments 11 may be positioned on the stator to shape the end windings 8a, Fig. 2 (not shown). It is stated that filling factors of 0À75 to 0À85 are achieved.
