Abstract
102,744. Shirley, F. J. Jau. 3, 1916 Boxes made from special blanks; contents, viewing; fittings, internal.-A box-blank comprises a lid A, Fig. 1, back D, bottom B, front E, and a tray C, which is perforated to receive a series of articles. The tray has flaps C<1>, C<2> secured to flaps B' and the back D respectively, and flaps D', E' are provided to serve as struts to support the tray. The front E and the flaps B<1> are lower than the back B to facilitate viewing the contents, the lid flaps A<1>, A<2> being preferably made equal in depth to the box. In modifications, the flaps B<1>, D<1> are equal in depth to the back, and the tray is supported by flaps C<x>, Fig. 5; or the flaps C<1> are turned up, as shown in Fig. 6, and secured to deep flaps B<1>, and corrugated sheets G, G<1> are provided. In another form, a blank formed of one or two pieces is secured to ends K, Fig. 7, one end of the blank being folded to form trays C, H and a partition H<2>, and the edges of the trays being supported by flaps M, N extending to the box bottom and partition respectively.
