Abstract

1,025,969. Electromagnetic relays. MORPHY RICHARDS (CRAY) Ltd. Oct. 15, 1964 [Oct. 19, 1963; Dec. 24, 1963], Nos. 41386/63 and 41386/63. Heading H2B. A hinge for the armature of an electromagnet relay is moulded from plastic material 1, for example, polypropylene, by forming a V- groove therein to define a very thin part which acts as the pivot axis X of the armature A. The leaf of the hinge on one side of the V- groove is secured to the armature A while the leaf on the other side of the groove is secured to the frame F of the relay coil W. Fixing screws, such as 13, 14 pass through hollow bosses (Figs. 1a 1b 1c, not shown) moulded in the hinge and also secure the blades, such as 20, 22 of two contact spring sets operated by studs 24 on side extensions 25 of the armature A.
