Abstract
787,701. Electromagnetic relays. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Oct. 31, 1955 [Nov. 3, 1954], No. 31075/55. Class 38 (5). In a relay in which a spring blade 6 is movable by the cross-bar 11 of a driving member 10 when the armature 2 is attracted so that a contact 7 disengages contact 5 and engages a contact 9, the bending stress in the spring 6 is reduced by a strip 12 attached thereto at the contact 7 and interposed between the spring and the cross-bar 11. The arrangement does not appreciably affect the spring restoring force. Additionally, the friction between the spring 6 and strip 12 minimises contact bounce.
