Abstract

1,025,148. X-ray systems. SIEMENS-REINIGER-WERKE A.G. Aug. 16,1963 [Aug. 17, 1962], No. 32595/63. Heading H2H. An X-ray system has a synchronous motor driven timer 20-22, which at determined times reduces the X-ray tube filament current and voltage to follow approximately the tube load diagram by a sectorial switch 23-25, the lower current and voltage ranges being adjustable. At a determined exposure an automatic device 27, 27 cuts off the tube supply and stops the motor, a screw and nut arrangement 32-35 indicating the elapsed time. A circuit (not shown) returns the timer to its starting position. In an alternative arrangement (Fig. 2, not shown), an additional switch controlling a series of lamps indicates in which time band the exposure is completed.
