Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily control an X-ray tube with a number of focal points by driving a counting signal generator which is built in the X-ray tube by the use of the pulses from a control device and selecting to switch a filament. CONSTITUTION:The voltage of an X-ray tube is adjusted by a voltage setting circuit 21 and the current of the X-ray tube is adjusted by a filament heating circuit 23. Before X-rays are generated, a preset number of signal pulses are generated by a filament select pulse generator 24 in accordance with the operation of a push button or a dial. These signal pulses are transmitted to a counter 15 through an insulating transformer 22. The counte 15 counts the signal pulses which are transmitted. Triacs t1-t4 selectively turn on in accordance with this counting output and filaments f1-f4 are selected.
