1,024,503. Hydrostatic transmission. DOWTY TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. Feb. 21, 1963 [March 3, 1962], No. 8321/62. Heading F2C. An hydrostatic power transmission includes a heat exchanger for the exchange of heat between the working liquid and the temperature control apparatus of an internal combustion engine driving the transmission. The working liquid for an hydrostatic transmission 3 driven by an internal combustion engine 1 is circulated by a pump 6 through coils 41 in a heat exchanger 34 located in the bottom of the engine coolant radiator 11. The coolant passes from the engine to a thermostat 13 which by-passes the coolant by pipe 27 to the heat exchanger 34 when starting, the coolant being circulated by a pump 12.
