Abstract

1,024,052. Pipe connectors. H. W. FUTTER, and B. GOLDSMITH. Jan. 25, 1963 [March 1, 1962], No. 8086/62. Heading F2G. A pipe connector, over which is fitted a flexible pipe or tube 5, is of cylindrical shape and has a stepped portion, forming a sharp edge 4, leading to a cylindrical portion of reduced diameter. The body portion of larger diameter 1 has a roughened annulus which may be situated adjacent the step 4 as shown at 6. The body portion may have more than one step. The head 2 of the convector, as shown, is an internally threaded cap secured to the body portion, but may be a loose threaded collar engaging a conical nose of the body portion.
