Abstract

102,101. Done, J. S. April 7, 1916. Cranks arranged to serve as foot-rests on freewheeling.-A crank f is threaded on one end of the spindle a. In the driving position, a projection j engages with a projection e on a disk fixed on the spindle in such a position that the cranks are then in line. On free-wheeling, the crank is turned back through 180 degrees, whereupon the other faces of the projections engage. The crank may be disconnectibly held in the driving position by balls held in sockets by springs. A spring m may be provided to return the crank to driving position.
