Abstract

1,020,785. Roller blinds. ARTISTIC BLIND CO. Ltd. Feb. 10, 1964 [Feb. 8, 1963], No. 5254/63. Heading A4B. A roller blind 2 has along each side edge a continuous piping 3 of circular section and a similar piping 4 along its bottom edge, each piping 3 being slidably received in a retaining member 7 having an extruded aluminium outer channel 8 and an extruded synthetic resin inner channel 9. The roller 5 has a reduced width of barrel and layer spindles around which the piping is wound. A grooved extruded member 16 engages the piping 4 and when the blind is lowered fits into a trough-like casing 13 to exclude light, the casing 13 housing a pulley over which passes the operating cord 15.
