In a Venetian blind the tilting control roll 1 to which the ends of the tilting tapes 4 are secured by tongues 2, 3, is provided with circumferential ribs 6, 7 pressed out on the surface of the roll to protect the tapes located between the ribs from rubbing by the control cords 5.
