Abstract

Rope grips.-A cable stopper, comprising a fixed wedge and a sliding wedge band rack-andpinion gearing l, n for operating the sliding wedge b and a bolt t for looking it in position, is provided with a tap bolt y passing through a slot in the base and screwed into the underside of the movable wedge b to prevent tilting. The cable stopper shown in plan in Fig. 1 is constructed to take two ropes.
