Abstract

1,019,559. Switchboards. DORMAN & SMITH Ltd. Aug. 14, 1963 [Sept. 18, 1962], No. 35457/62. Heading H2B. An electrical distribution assembly is housed in a cabinet consisting of a plurality of shell units 12 of common cross-section but differing heights each shell unit having frontal flanges 15 formed by turning in the front edges of the side walls of the units and having a plate or plates 20 attached thereto. The plates 20 may be blank, apertured to receive parts of the assembly or have hinged doors 21 for access to the assembly. The parts of the assembly, e.g. meters, indicator lamps, circuit-breakers &c. may be mounted on the plates 20 or directly on the walls of the shell units. In a particular case (Fig. 3, not shown) a plurality of circuitbreakers 23 are mounted upon a bus-bar system 22 bolted to supports 18 attached to the rear wall of a shell unit.
