Abstract

The LV distribution box is for use as an auxiliary unit in an HV installation. The box provides a rigid housing acting as a fire-proof enclosure. Switch monitoring cables exit via ducting included in the structure. The box is rectangular, and divided longitudinally into two compartments (10, 11) with an upper and lower section provided with demountable access plates on the front surface (18). The upper compartment takes horizontal bus-bars which are bolted to similar vertical conductors running the length of the enclosure. Further horizontal bars allow connection to distribution blocks on the front surface.
