Abstract
1,017,740. Photosensitive materials. KALLE A. G. Mar. 27, 1963 [April 3, 1962], No. 12182/63. Heading G2C. A copying material consisting of a support having thereon a light sensitive coating containing an acid condensation product of a diphenylamine-4 diazonium salt present as a double salt with a metal salt and formaldehyde and also containing at least 0. 05 mol of phosphoric acid present as such per mol of diazonium groups. In the examples, a paper of brushed aluminium foil is coated with the zinc or cadmium chloride double salt of a diphenylamine-4 diazonium sulphate/formaldehyde condensation product and phosphoric acid, exposed and washed to give a positive printing plate. The phosphoric acid may be ortho-, meta-, pyro- or poly-phosphoric acid and in the case of polyphosphoric acid, one mol of the acid is that quantity which contains 1 mol of phosphorus in bound form Sulphuric or arsenic acid may also be added to the coating.
