Abstract

1,017,654. Ornamenting. ACMEFLOORING Ltd. March 4, 1964 [Dec. 11, 1962], No. 46736/62. Addition to 975,120. Heading B6G. A paving element is formed from a wooden board having a length considerably greater than its width or thickness (e.g. 9 ft. x 5-7 ins. x 3-6 ins.) by applying to one face a layer comprising a synthetic epoxy resin, embedding in the resin layer a layer of chippings of calcined bauxite, and curing the resin layer. The board may be enclosed by mould walls extending above it by the depth of the resin layer to define a cavity to receive the resin. Several boards may be stuck together or secured together by battens to form a paving element. Specification 976,126 is referred to.
