Abstract

101,679. Lund, H. J. Nov. 27, 1915, [Convention date]. Percussive hand tools.-A device for cleaning narrow parts of boilers, such as fire-boxes, comprises a tube 1 provided at its end with a projecting arm 8, on the free end of which is pivoted a pick 9, 10 connected by a link 12 to an operating-rod 13 passing through the tube 1 and provided with a handle 14. The tube 1 is kept in place between the walls 2, 3 of the boiler and fire-box by springs 4, 5, the latter of which is adjustable by a screw 7. The tube 1 and rod 13 may be in sections connected together so that they may be lengthened or shortened.
