1,016,322. Bowden cable transmissions. PATONS BRAKE, REPLACEMENTS PROPRIETARY Ltd. Jan. 14, 1964 [Jan. 17, 1963], No. 1649/64. Heading B7E. [Also in Division F2] A hand lever associated with a combined brake system of hydraulic brakes for motor vehicles and vacuum brakes for trailers (see Division F2) is adapted to effect small lengthwise movement of a cable 43 for pre-setting purposes, in addition to effecting operational movement of the cable by the lever 44. The hand lever has a screw connection 47 with a support 48 on the dashboard of the vehicle whereby relative turning movement effects the desired presetting adjustment. The adjusted position may be retained by a plate spring which is adapted to engage corrugations on the body of the hand lever.
