Abstract

1,014,601. Supporting cables. YORK TRAILER CO. Ltd. May 1, 1962 [May 9, 1961], No. 16767/61. Heading H2C. [Also in Division F2] A post for supporting an electric cable and secured on a tractor or a trailercomprises a tube 1, having rings 2 for the cable, secured to a seat member 5 and containing a conical spring 8. The upper end of the spring is engaged by a hook 10 secured to a base plate 7. Relative movement between the tractor and trailer causes the post to pivot and compress the spring and when tension on the cable is released the spring pulls the post to an upright position.
