Abstract

Panels 5 are attached to a wall. through channel members 3, attached to spacers I fixed to the wall, the members 3 having tongue and groove connection 7 with uprights 8 spaced from the wall by mastic, the panels being secured to the uprights. The channel members 3 may be of metal, wood or plastic and may be used as external angle corner fittings. Horizontal stiffeners 10 attached to the back of the panels extend between the uprights 8 to which the edge portions of adjacent panels are pinned or glued. To ensure flush fitting of adjacent panels a toggle clamp. Fig. 4, receives the panels against a rigid bar 20 while glueing.
