A tool-post 1 comprises lateral faces 6, 7 with dovetail guides on which tool-holders 2 are clamped by one or more bars 8 displaceable parallel to the face 7. The bar 8 has dovetail projections matching the guides on face 7 and is displaced by an eccentric 12a on a shaft 12, or by a screw. End 8c of the bar clamps a holder on the face 6.
