Abstract

1,009,851. Electromagnetic relays. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON. Nov. 23, 1962 [Nov. 23, 1961], No. 44499/62. Heading H2B. When relay armature 1 is attracted to the core, it engages a disc 14 which is secured to a ratchet wheel 13 carried in a bearing bracket 4 formed at the end of a leaf spring 11 and raises the ratchet wheel so that it is rotated half a step anticlockwise by the engagement of one of its teeth with a fixed pawl 18. On de-energization the ratchet wheel is rotated a further half step by its engagement with another fixed pawl 19. When the ratchet wheel is raised, disc 14 closes a spring-set 8, 9. The rotary movement of the ratchet wheel advances tappets, such as 16, to co-operate with a tongue 23 on contact blade 9 and close contacts 7 and 8 as well as 8 and 9. The pawls 18 and 19 are formed on a blade spring 17. Additional contact spring- sets may be provided.
