Abstract

1,009,505. Building panels. S. R. POTTER. Dec. 14,1961, No. 44726/61. Addition to 877,945. Heading E1B. A building panel comprises a core A of insulating and reinforcing material and at least one layer of asbestos cement D secured to the core by attachment means B, the core and the attachment means being held together by staples, stitching, or the like C, which pass completely through the core. As shown, the core A of polystyrene or fibreboard is provided with attachment means B of wire, wire mesh, expanded metal, perforated sheet material, or woven fibres. A slab F permits panels to be overlapped at their ends and ribs E are such that a panel and an inverted similar panel fit side by side. Stiffening ribs G and bolt holes may be provided.
