Abstract

1,009,499. Reinforced concrete piles. HOLMPRESS PILES Ltd. April 2, 1964 [Jan. 3, 1963], No. 387/63. Heading E1H. A reinforced concrete pile is formed by driving an elongated solid member 4 into the ground, engaging the leading edge of a drive or lining tube 1 with a shoe 2 in the form of a flange secured to the member 4, the latter having a part thereof (Fig. 1) or a projection (rod 5 in Fig. 3) extending into the tube, driving the tube into the ground, the member 4 being simultaneously driven into the ground in advance of the tube, and erecting a reinforced concrete pile on top of the shoe 2. Specification 621,450 and 884,810 are referred to.
