1,009,296. Dispensing liquids. SYMING- TON WAYNE CORPORATION. June 17, 1964 [July 3, 1963], No. 25149/64. Heading A4T. Apparatus for dispensing petrol has a conventional meter 16 connected to a source 18 of petrol in the base 20 of dispenser housing 26 and a hose and nozzle 22, and a pre-set device 12, and a "variator," consisting of the computing mechanism of a conventional register with the large indicating drums having been removed, is connected to meter 16 and to printing mechanism 14 which prints the cost and quantity of the sale as well as such information as unit price, the printed receipt being ejected on to a tray 32. Windows 38 display the unit price. In a modification a window displays a flag with a zero printed thereon at the start of the dispensing operation and in another embodiment small indicating drums form part of variator 24.
