Abstract
1,214,163. Medicament dispersing packages. ORTHO PHARMACEUTICAL CORP. 4 Jan., 1968 [5 Jan., 1967], No. 654/68. Heading B8C. [Also in Division A4] A dispersing package comprises a number of compartments arranged in a strip and each bearing indications of when the contents are to be used. A medication dispensing strip 10 comprises a number of compartments 11 each containing a tablet or the like. Tear lines 12 are formed between each compartment. The strip is coiled in a dispensing container, Fig. 2 (not shown), and, as it is pulled out for use, time indications 13, printed on each compartment, become visible through an aperture 26, Fig. 3, near the outlet 25 of the container. In the embodiment shown, the aperture is provided in a dial 23 which may be rotated by a grip 24 so that the time indication corresponding to the first tablet used may be chosen as required. The grip may then be detached to prevent further rotation, and the indications on successive compartments are printed in such a way that there is a predetermined interval between each marking which appears, viz one day in the example shown. In a second embodiment of the strip, Fig. 4 (not shown), the time indications are arranged in a column on each compartment, and this form of the strip may be used with a dispersing container having a movable apertured belt surrounding its outlet, Fig. 5 (not shown). See Division A4.
