1,059,900. Pill dispensers. CREATIVE PACKAGING Inc. Aug. 4, 1964, No. 25092/66. Divided out of 1,058,992. Heading B8P. A pill dispenser comprises movable layers 113, 115, 117 which define bores 129 for containing pills, each layer being movable between two positions relative to adjacent layers in which positions the bores of adjacent layers are either aligned or offset, and means co-operating between adjacent layers for successively aligning the layers on advancing the topmost layer. Projections 139, 140 engage grooves (138), Fig. 9 (not shown), in elements (137) and grooves 149 in elements 147 respectively on the top and bottom layers. With the bores in adjacent layers out of registry, pills may be dispensed from the top layer by rotating a cover 111. Elements (137) 147 each have pairs of grooves defining the aligned and offset positions of the bores in adjacent layers so that the lower layers may be successively brought into registry by advancing the top. most layer to gain access to the contained pills. The dispenser may be provided with a dial indicating device (40) as illustrated in Fig. 2 (not shown), which with the remainder of Figs. 1-7 relates to the subject-matter of Specification 1,058,992. In an alternative embodiment the bores are provided in straightline layers. The dispenser may be injectionmoulded from a plastics material such as polystyrene and polypropylene.
