Abstract
The invention comprises metallized azo dyes of formula <FORM:1009193/C4-C5/1> wherein W is a halotriazinyl, halodiazinyl, halodiazinoyl, haloquinoxalinoyl or haloquinoxaline sulphonyl residue containing at least one fibre-reactive halogen atom, one or two of substituents Y, Y1, Y2 and Y3 are sulphonic acid groups and the others are hydrogen atoms, R1 is hydrogen or a C1-C4 alkyl radical, with the proviso that when Y is a sulphonic acid group, W can only be a halotriazinyl, halodiazinyl or haloquinoxaline-sulphonyl, one X is a sulphonic acid group and the other X is hydrogen or a sulphonic acid group. The dyes may be prepared by reacting the corresponding amino-substituted copper complex with an appropriate halotriazine, halodiazine or haloquinoxaline compound. Further process for the preparation of the dyes are specified. The dyes may be used to colour polyamide and, in particular, cellulose materials in blue shades by the usual processes for reactive dyes.
