Abstract

1,008,474. Electric coils. GARRINGTONS Ltd., & PLASTIC COATINGS Ltd. Aug. 17, 1964 [June 8, 1963], No. 22941/63. Headings H1P and H1T. A coil having a hollow conductor, especially an induction heating coil, but also a transformer winding or a solenoid, is insulated by immersing it while hot in a fluidized plastics bed. The insulating material may be nylon, epoxides, P.T.F.E. and the like. In the case of an induction heater coil, the coated coil may be covered with asbestos tape and refractory material. The coil is oven-heated.
