A ferrite has the composition and has high resistivity and squareness ratio, low coercive force and a narrow resonance line. The metal oxides or carbonates, oxalates &c. are ground in water in a ball mill, presintered between 600 and 1000‹ C., reground, compressed at one ton/cm<SP>2</SP>, and sintered at 1000‹ to 1200‹ C. in air or oxygen. Specification 979,484 is referred to.
