Abstract
1,007,653. Printed circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC AND ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 8, 1963 [Feb. 13, 1962], No. 5244/63. Heading H1R. [Also in Division H2] A printed electric switch contact, comprising a layer of bright nickel on an insulating surface, is coated with a layer of matt nickel to prevent corrosion and reduce contact resistance. The layers of bright and matt nickel may be applied either by successive electro-deposition processes or by applying them in reverse order to a copper layer on a steel sheet and compressing and heating this sheet against paper impregnated with resin to transfer the copper and nickel layers thereto, the copper then being removed by etching.
