Abstract

1,007,046. Bins. NOMAD BOX CO. Ltd. Jan. 21, 1964 [Jan. 23, 1963], No. 2930/63. Heading B8P. A fibreboard bin has sides 10 and ends 11 slanting outwards from a base 16, which is made of a separate piece of fibreboard. The sides 10 have flaps 12 which are turned over the ends 11 at the corners and secured by adhesive. The base 16 has its corners mitred to form flaps 17, 18 which are bent up against the outsides of the sides 10 and the ends 11 and secured by adhesive. The sides 10 and ends 11 have upper flaps 13, 14 which are bent over a rigid rectangular rim 15 and similarly secured to the main parts of the sides 10 and the ends 11. The ends 11 are formed with horizontal elongated apertures 20 to form handholds. These apertures are fitted with self-retaining smooth projecting rims of rubber or flexible plastic 21. In one modification the base 16 is reinforced by a strip of rigid material, or by a plurality of such strips.
