Abstract
1,006,720. Whistles. ASTROSONICS Inc. Feb. 1, 1963 [March 5, 1962], No. 4178/63. Heading G5J. [Also in Divisions B2 and B5]. An acoustic generator of the whistle type having an outlet nozzle 14 and cup-shaped resonator 30, is used for atomizing or solidifying liquid discharged through apertures 18 in the base of a chamber 39. The supporting stem 24 of the resonator is held in the sleeve of a member 23 by a screw 25. The spacing of the resonator from the nozzle 14 is adjusted initially by said screw and then the stem 24 is fixed in its adjusted position by a pin 26.
