Abstract
1,005,368. Index tabs. RUD. FURRER SOHNE A.G. Sept. 20, 1961 [Nov. 11, 1960], No. 33681/61. Heading B6E. An index tab for attachment to a support bar 2 of a suspension filing folder 1 is provided with at least one angle member 6 cut and bent out of the tab and one or more resilient tab-pieces 9 also cut out of the body of the tab, each tab-piece having a hook 11 at its lower end to engage a cranked edge 5 of the support bar. The tab is located in position by a projection 12 on a tabpiece 10 engaging any one of a series of spaced recesses 13 in the bar. Dimples 18 are pressed out of the tab to reduce play between the bar and tab. A transparent cover is provided which is bent over at its upper and lower ends to engage the edges 8a, 14a of the tab. A projection on the rear face of the tab, adjacent the upper edge 14a, engages a corresponding aperture in the transparent cover to retain it laterally, Fig. 3 (not shown). Alternatively, the upper and lower edges of the tab are bent over to form channel-shaped guides for the transparent cover.
