Abstract

1,179,837. Index tabs. HUNKE & JOCHHEIM. 15 Jan., 1968 [17 Jan., 1967], No. 2214/68. Heading B6E. An index tab 11, Fig. 1, which is injection moulded from a transparent plastics material and intended for releasable mounting on a filing folder cover or an index card 19 in association with apertures 20 which extend at spaced intervals along an edge of the index card, comprises a top portion 12 provided with a pocket 13, Fig. 2, and an integral foot portion including a pair of legs 14, 15. The leg 14 is thicker and longer than the leg 15 and provided with bent lugs 18 which engage the apertures 20; whereby the shorter leg 15 is thinner to impart to it flexibility which facilitates the removal of the index tab from the index card 19.
